Every spring, the hills of South Limburg come to life at the Amstel Gold Race. There is a cozy atmosphere along the course and you look out over hills and picturesque villages. Even without a bike, this is a great way to experience the region at its best.

2. Eijsden Flower Cycle Route | April — May 2026

3. Nature & theme walks | Spring & summer
Discover South Limburg with a guide on organized walks through the diverse landscape. Along the way, attention is paid to nature, history and local stories, so you can get to know the area in a different way. A nice way to really take in the area.
4. Cultura Nova | August 28th — September 6th, 2026
Cultura Nova brings theater, music and dance together in places you don't always expect. Throughout the region, you will discover performances by international companies, each with their own atmosphere and setting. Ideal for those who like to experience culture a little differently.
5. Summer village festivals & concerts | June — August 2026
From village squares to small open-air venues: in the summer, there is plenty of music in South Limburg. The parties and concerts are small, accessible and always fun. Perfect for a relaxing summer evening, and maybe you'll bump into a new favorite artist.
6. Regional markets & flea markets | spring and summer
Stroll through lively markets full of regional products, antiques and local specialties in places like Valkenburg, Gulpen and Maastricht. Many of these markets only take place once a year and are celebrated in a big way. That means extra atmosphere, live music and, of course, South Limburg style enjoyment.
7. Old Crafts | August 02, 2026
Do you ever secretly dream of a life as a farmer? During the Old Crafts in Einighausen, you'll step back in time. You'll see what farm life looked like in the past and how crafts were passed on from generation to generation. An educational and fun event for young and old.
8. Wine & Harvest Activities | September 2026
Taking a trip to France to experience Burgundian wine life? That's not necessary at all. In South Limburg, you can simply find that atmosphere closer to home, with perhaps even more fun. In late summer, you can enjoy wine tastings, harvest festivals and regional activities around local products.
